2020 put a reset button on our lives. Some of us are getting a chance to start over. Here at great weather for MEDIA we feel the same way. Every month we will be celebrating one of our anthologies in support of the poets and writers who made it and for those readers who supported. So please join us as we revisit 2012's It’s Animal but Merciful—the very first book we published.

It's Animal but Merciful is a collection of fearless poetry and prose from fifty-five writers across the United States, plus Botswana, the Philippines, Denmark, and Canada. This is world writing with a New York flair—no nonsense, no claptrap, ready to spit in your eye or call you lover in a cyber minute. There's brutality, glamour, danger, and glitz...but an unexpected tenderness too.
