Johns Hopkins University Press Blog described him as "a hilarious but also heartbreaking performance poet." The New York Times, great weather for MEDIA (Escape Wheel), Newtown Literary, and Press 53's Prime Magazine have published his poetry. M. A. is a National Black Writers Conference "Emerging Poet" of 2020 and author of the chapbook Mistaken Identity Crisis (NYSAI Press). Dennis lives in Staten Island with his pet rock.
