Ellen T Dotts is a poet and fiction writer based on Staten Island, NY by way of Liberia, West Africa. Ellen is the curator of Shortbread and Gravy, and presents, “Writer’s Block”. She also served as the coordinator and host of the 2019 season of “The Edgewater Reading Series”. To quote her favorite poet, Nikki Giovanni, “We write because we believe the human spirit can not be tamed and should not be trained.” Her poetry is her civil protest.
