Simon Pettet is a long-time resident of New York’s Lower East Side having arrived there in 1977 from London, England. John Ashbery amusingly referred to him as “a former English waif, but for decades a pillar of the St Mark’s Poetry Project, the core of all that is New York about the New York School.” More about him and his poems can be found on line at simonpettet.com.
