Javan Howard is a poet and writer from The Bronx, NY. He truly believes that the lived experience is the ultimate teaching tool and uses poetry as a social forum to foster discourse about love, culture, and identity. Recently, he is a TAP Co-Director for Curricula, Mentorship & Facilitation at Community Word Project but will always be a Teaching Artist at heart. Jay also serves on the NYC Arts in Education Roundtable Teaching Artist Affairs Committee. He is a recipient of the 2022 Aspen Words Fellowship and has work forthcoming in several publications. His poetry can be found in the great weather for MEDIA 2022 anthology Arriving at a Shoreline.

Karl Roulston is a poet and musician from the school of anomalous blues. His lyrical excursions can be found in the great weather for MEDIA print anthologies Arriving at a Shoreline, It’s Animal But Merciful, The Understanding between Foxes and Light, Before Passing, The Other Side of Violet, and the forthcoming anthology for 2022. He can also be read online in recent editions of Poetrybay and Polarity eMagazine.
