Hybrie Jenae is a self-published, Afro-feminist author. She received a BA in Psychology from Clark Atlanta University and a MSW, Mental Health Concentration and Social Entrepreneurship Specialization from Washington University. Hybrie Jenae resides in St. Louis, MO and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
The Life & Times of an HBCU Drama Queen is the first published book by the author, which includes a collection of short stories that chronicle the lives of students at Heritage Wells, a fictional historically Black college. Hybrie’s second short story collection, Celestial Nightmares: Urban Legend, tells stories of unexplainable encounters. Each story centers experiences of Black folks, primarily throughout the south and Midwest. Volume 1: Urban Legend explores the impact of moon magic on folklore.
