RUCKSACK: A bilingual event produced in Piacenza, Italy.
We will start with a poetry open mic, followed by a special hour’s presentation. The host will be taking open mic signups at the start of the event.

A SPECIAL INTERNATIONAL PRESENTATION: great weather for MEDIA proudly presents an international lineup of poets in a bilingual event (English/Spanish) produced in Italy by the group Poetry is My Passion.
“RUCKSACK: A GLOBAL POETRY PATCHWORK, Voicing Diversity” will include the poems of eight European authors, led by co-organizers Antje Stehn (Germany/Italy) and Ana María Pedroso Guerrero (Cuba/Italy).

Antje Stehn, German poet, visual artist, video producer, art curator based in Italy, will present in English. She is part of the international Collective "Poetry is my Passion" which operates in Milan and organizes transcultural events for the promotion of language and cultural diversity. She is editor of Milano, una città mille lingue, for the poetry magazine TamTamBumBum, co-editor of the Ablucionistas, and member of the scientific committee of the Piccolo Museo della Poesia of Piacenza, Italy.
Ana María Pedroso Guerrero, a poet and writer from Cuba living in Italy, will present the Spanish part. She works as a Project Manager and Art Consultant. Since 2007 she is the Founder and President of the Cubeart Cultural Association (Milan), for which she creates and directs cultural, social and artistic projects. She has contributed to the promotion of Cuban art and culture in Europe and Latin America, holding events and exhibitions with Cuban and international artists, collaborating with renowned institutions in Cuba and Europe.
Rucksack is an installation featuring a large backpack made of dried tea bags and the poems of more than 250 poets from all over the world. The installation currently is on show at the Il Piccolo Museo della Poesia, Chiesa di San Cristoforo, in Piacenza, Italy. From there it will travel to other countries like Republic North Macedonia, Ireland, and India.

Betty Gilmore (Italy/US) - Blues and jazz singer, writer, poet who combines music and poetry in her concerts.
Alicja Kuberska (Poland) – Award-winning poetess, novelist, journalist and editor.
Pina Piccolo (Italy) – Poet, translator, cultural activist, editor of the on-line magazine The Dreaming Machine.
Lucia Cupertino (Italy/Chile) - Writer, translator, anthropologist, cofounder of the Italian on line magazine La Macchina Sognate.
Daniele Calabrese (Argentina) - Poet and editor of RIL in Santiago del Cile.
Manuel Pimentel (Venezuela) - Poet, writer, editor. Director of the Ablucionistas and of the Revista de Cultura Semiotica .
Gino Leinweber (Germany) - Awarded poet, writer, and translator. Board member of the PEN Center Germany.
Erkut Tokman (Turkey) - ErkutTokman poet, editor, translator, performer and visual artist. director of the Turkish Sofa Literary Series on Radio Trafika Europe.
