Germany-born Bronxite Ron Marc "R.M." Trenkler-Thomson is a writer, playwright, poet, spoken-word performer, producer, event host, MC, blogger, artist, photographer, podcaster, and technician. His memoir essays and poems were published in three of five Bronx Memoir Project anthologies (2018, 2019, and 2021). Ron's nature poem and photograph are featured in the Love Letters to Gaia anthology (2021), and three of his original short stageplays were produced and directed -- the most recent was included in Art Defined's "Flip the Script" virtual showcase and printed anthology (2021).
Ron regularly performs in in-person and online open-mics at Art in the Basin, Bronx Art & Fun Hub, the Nuyorican Poets Café, Creative Expressions NYC, BWOMS, Phynnecabulary, and The Word is Write. During the pandemic, he facilitated two New York Public Library weekly writing circle groups and co-produced Art in the Basin's and Creative Expressions NYC's transition to virtual open-mics. Since fall 2021 he hosts biweekly online workshops at New Mexico-based The Word is Write.
In 2019 Ron founded and currently runs the Bronx Art & Fun Hub (BxAFH) organization, producing and hosting free programs and workshops for adults. Also, in 2021 he became the assistant producer of the Nuyorican Poets Café's weekly online and monthly hybrid open-mics and monthly "Two Venues One Mic" (21) events hosted by Advocate of Wordz.
